Samuel Grossman Furs

Part of Montreal's Fur Heritage since 1921

In 1921, Samuel Grossman escaped Poland and came to Canada, leaving behind his wife, two-year-old daughter Diane, and newborn son, Gabie, only a week old. Samuel's goal was to earn enough money quickly to send for his family. Being a master furrier in Poland, he re-established a fur factory in Montreal, out of his appartment. The commitment to style and uncompromising quality quickly earned him a reputation for excellence. Within a year, he had brought over his wife and children. In the decades that followed, Samuel Grossman brought over more than 70 members of the immediate and extended family from Poland.

The Next Generation
In 1950, his son Gabie Grossman took over the family business and it continued to flourish, employing at one time over 40 skilled tradesmen and women.

At 87, Gabie is the President Samuel Grossman Furs and lends his years of experience and wisdom to the team.

The Tradition Continues
Today, Samuel's grandson Michael owns and operates the business.

The focus has shifted from manufacturing to importing the finest furs and the latest fashions, and the commitment to quality and customer service has never wavered.
